About the Author

Alexander V. Zorin

Alexander Vasilyevich Zorin was born in Kursk, Russia in 1967 and graduated from the historical and pedagogical faculty of the Kursk State Pedagogical Institute in 1991. In 1999, he defended his dissertation for a degree as a candidate in historical sciences on the subject of "The Indian War in Russian America" at Voronezh State University. He is the Chief Curator at Kursk Regional Museum of Archaeology and also does field work. He has authored more than 120 publications on the history of North American Indians, archaeology, local lore, and is a co-author of many collective works. He has been awarded the Certificate of Honor of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation and other awards.
