About the Author

Carolyn Schwartz

Carolyn Schwartz taught third grade students in public elementary schools, was a piano teacher, and managed real estate property for many years. After raising four kids and facing the proverbial ‘empty nest,’ she reinvented herself as an author of creative non-fiction, then as a travel journalist. She has always had an unquenchable thirst for travel, both the physical kind and the kind that takes place in her daytime fantasies and nocturnal dreams. She lives with her husband of sixty-two years, with whom she shares twelve grandkids, in Pittsboro, North Carolina and in Colorado’s Rocky Mountains.
