What is the Message of the Rose, Love or Danger?

In A Rose for Mrs. Lilac, the third in the Mrs. Lilac-series, we return to Caronsburg and visit Mrs. Lilac, Tarot reader Extraordinaire, in her cottage along Rainbow River. We meet up again with her friends, wacky and otherwise, Fern Gilmore, Julie and Wanda, and Bill Green. It is an old friend, Annabelle Wilkins, who unexpectedly returns to Caronsburg from her sojourn in the south, and opens the door to The Rose Bouquet, a large antique and flea market at the edge of town. Annabelle’s nephew, Eugene, is employed there, and Mrs. Lilac, through her love of history and her need for helping others, is led into the mystery of the place. Merchandise has been stolen and moved around and vendors are leaving, due to anger and mistrust. Some are fearful of the ghosts who are said to inhabit the place. A suspicious eye has been cast on Eugene, who has recently been released from prison. Despite a sudden crisis in her own health, Mrs. Lilac opens a booth at The Rose Bouquet. Her decision to do so causes her to experience opposition and criticism as she never has before, along with her own vulnerability, danger and death. In the end, through Tarot and her own intuition, Mrs. Lilac helps to solve the mystery of the Rose Bouquet. In the final chapter, she attends a wedding and receives a life altering gift. A Rose for Mrs. Lilac is a must read for her many fans and will not disappoint.
