Are You Done With Him?

There is more than just friendship but are we really friends? We do laugh together but who else does he laugh with? I don’t even know why I am with him because all we have in common is sex. I feel like I’m wasting my time waiting for him to see me. I give myself away and yet I haven’t gotten anything in return, so why do I still give? It’s time to leave, but, am I done with him?

It was 11:40 pm when the call came in on a Saturday night.Obviously, he had too much time on his hands and did not know that some folks like to go to sleep early. "Hello. Who is this?" I was half groggy with sleep. "Hello Michele, it's me". His voice penetrated me to the core. My insides jumped and fluttered. I sat straight up on my bed. "I miss talking with you. I liked laughing with you. I miss you already. I did tell you I would call. I want to hear your voice. Michele, tell me more about yourself ."
