“Reflections of a Child of the Universe” is the author’s reflection of a life experience. At first, the story is told through a child’s eyes as she grows up happily on the family farm, surrounded by the beauty of nature and numerous animals. The farm becomes the magical place for a child growing up, and where the author’s love of reading begins. As she grows up and becomes an adult, we read about the events surrounding a fairy tale wedding. But that is where the fairy tale ends.

Thousands of people in America suffer from various mental illnesses or have family members that do. This book has been written in hopes that the adversity and tragedy the author faced in her life touches those who read it, and can help those who have had similar experiences understand that they are not alone. There is always a chance to rebuild their lives. Recovery is always possible.
