Alaska—The Great Land

For some an enigma, others a way of life, for most only a dream; but for a high time ex-USAF helicopter pilot who thought he knew it all, it was the experience of a lifetime. A time and perspective that was totally unlike American aviation today. To be sure, that “can-do” attitude still exists in Alaska albeit with its share of “be-no's” and “what if’s”...But imagine a time when the only restrictions to aerial operations were self-imposed.
