Surviving and Thriving in South America

In 1976, as a newly married couple, the Marstons stepped outside the traditional and accepted teaching jobs in an American School in Cochabamba, Bolivia. Their world forever changed. …And So, It Began recounts both their first year as overseas educators and as young adults maturing into an understanding of who they were and what their priorities would be. With humor and insight, the story they share chronicles their transformation. Through the lens of the friends they made, the travels they experienced, and the day to day challenges of living and working in South America in the mid-seventies, David and June provide a lighthearted snapshot of growth towards global citizenship.
