Lisa says that she has professional Attention Deficit Disorder because as soon as she can do a job easily, she’s bored and has to move on to something new. She’s had many fun jobs including being a waitress, a sales associate for fine jewelry, and even a collections agent!
After earning her BA , MA, and Ed.S., she spent decades working as an academic and personal advisor. She worked with first-generation college students, NCAA athletes, international students, and medical students - serving people in ways she had never imagined.
Currently, Lisa loves working as a college professor - helping students apply their new knowledge rather than just memorize a bunch of facts. As a certified Life Coach, she works with a handful of select clients - helping them achieve their personal and professional goals. She is also a certified Zumba instructor and teaches dance classes weekly. When her schedule allows, she gives presentations at educational and professional conferences across the US.
Friends have told her, “You would go further in life if you would focus on one thing.” In her late-50s, with a bit of personal insight, Lisa says, “I don’t know everything, but this I know for sure: No person is just one thing. We all have a rainbow of gifts and life experiences to share with those around us – to make the world a better place. I cannot ignore all of my colors. If I did, I would get depressed and die, and I’m not ready for that just yet.”
