Al E. Bavry, the former CEO and co-founder of Kimal Lumber Company, has over fifty-five years experience in the building materials industry, beginning in the 1960s when he began working as a carpenter’s assistant. Born and raised on a farm in Wisconsin, he never went to college, but instead used his natural talents and “vision” to make his life story so far an example of true personal triumph. He has been awarded several “Entrepreneur” titles both locally and nationally, and his articles and viewpoints about the industry have been published in the FBMA’s e-Blueprint Newsletter, LBM magazine, and the Sarasota Business Observer. He lives (with his wife Ann) in Sarasota, Florida.
