About the Author

John Weiman

John worked in an adolescent psychiatric hospital for six years and saw first hand how family played a part in the struggles of adolescence. Today, he is a relationship counselor and got the idea for the book when he saw a couple and wondered about their story. He decided to just create it. The story behind this book is fascinating. After suffering a traumatic relationship loss, John sank into a deep depression and began to drink excessively. He began writing the story after he came home from the bar, drunk and would write for hours. Every night he would write a few pages and stop. The next day he would pick up where he left off, never knowing where the story would go. While drinking, he planned to have some characters die. Once he was diagnosed with cirrhosis, he immediately stopped drinking but continued to write. Without the reader knowing, he changed the path of the story. He’s currently writing a sequel to the book.
