About the Author

Gary DeFazio

Gary DeFazio is an experienced illustrator and art director who lives in upstate New York. Throughout his life he has had a passion for horses. For over 40 years he rode and showed horses, winning many trophies and ribbons. Starting out as a western rider, he later switched to jumping and dressage, while managing to keep his cowboy image. His personal line of humorous greeting cards, which he wrote and illustrated, was marketed throughout the country. "A Horse in a Tree" is his first children's book. Gary is a graduate of the University of Arizona.
