Stephanie Feggins’ writing talent was noticed in high school, when she won third place in a regional poetry contest. It gained her two academic scholarship awards, which then paved the way for her to attend college at Winston-Salem State University. While Stephanie completed her bachelor’s degree in Mass Communications, she served as a staff reporter for the university’s campus newspaper. Locally, Stephanie has published multiple articles for the W-Times newspaper. She has worked as a speechwriter and as a freelance journalist. During her time spent in New York City, Stephanie was chosen to work for national publications such as Right On! and Blackbeat as an editorial assistant covering the hottest trends and styles of the new millennium. She composed music reviews for international superstars like Fantasia Barrino, Mariah Carey and Jennifer Hudson. A Girl Mistreated, her first published drama, was born from a mixture of experience and perception of the young, present-day female reality. “I hope this book will serve as a tool for young women to empower themselves, and will inspire them to continue to strive for success regardless of how bad their current situations may seem.” Stephanie currently assists others in accomplishing their goals through a platform known as Aryrose Communications. The mission of Aryrose Communications is to assist creative minds in expressing themselves and promote self-awareness through the written word ultimately establishing new avenues of thinking and a positive well-being.
