Book Details

This is a tale of how wisps of cotton from a farmer’s field are transformed into cloth. Then it is dyed into a rainbow of splashing colors. One bolt of cloth in particular is dyed with the most beautiful shade of purple. As people enter the cloth store many are drawn like magnets to the purple bolt. It is bought for many purposes but finally a woman buys the last fragment of the bolt to place in the middle of a homemade quilt—a quilt which wins first prize in a quilting contest!
