The author, Norman F. Hainer Jr., currently resides in Westlake, OH with his wife, Kelly, and their sons, Jakob, AKA Jakee, and Evan, AKA Evee. Throughout his adult life, Norman dreamed of having children. In 2013, Jakee was born, and that dream came true. A successful patent attorney with a love of learning, a distant second, of course, to his love for his children, Norman decided to combine the two in a children’s educational book. Beautifully illustrated, ABC’s with Jakee details some of Jakee’s favorite things to do during his first eighteen months. Clapping, laughing, building, playing an instrument, riding, and, yes, admiring himself in a mirror, were only some of the things that brought Jakee, and those around him, an immense amount of joy. It is Norman’s sincere hope that ABC’s with Jakee conveys this same happiness to its readers.
