According to an indigenous legend, three immortals stepped into the heart of Africa to begin a new life. Dazzling the local population with their unique skills, they chose to stay a while in peaceful co-existence. Their demigod descendant then follows the prophetic guidance of a trio of cousins to create a nation with unique leadership roles for women. The innovation is invaluable through the generations as the nation’s borders are expanded. Unfortunately, the resolute march of European colonialism finally overwhelms them in the nineteenth century.
