Eric has been sober for more than a decade. He remains sober by working a balanced program and helping other alcoholics. He has acquired healthier habits to fill the void created by the removal of alcohol and drugs. Staying in shape, mind, body, and spirit. Giving back some of what he has received in recovery keeps him in the solution. He has devoted himself to this new life and sobriety has become his passion. Born in Chicago, Illinois in 1969, he has been with his wife Lori for over twenty years, they are happily married, and are the parents of two wonderful children. He authored this book with the help of his dear friend Denny D., who sadly passed away during the process. Denny was sober for over forty years; he also was a journalist, published author, retired as editor of a major newspaper, the Cincinnati Enquirer, and was inducted into the Greater Cincinnati Society of Professional journalists Hall of Fame in 2008. His contribution, influence, and editing expertise are apparent throughout the book. Eric shared his story hoping it would reach others plagued with the affliction of addiction and the disease of alcoholism.
