What did Jesus think about baptism?!

When Jesus came to John the Baptist to be baptized by him, John responded, “I need to be baptized by you! Why are you coming to me?” The reply that Jesus, “the Son of the Living God” gave, clearly establishes baptism as the second most important action a person can take in accordance with their decision to become a Christian. The first is to believe in Him. His reply to John was, “Let it be so now, because it is fitting for us to fulfill all righteousness!” Our only question should be, “how do I do that?” This book answers that question, completely.

About the Author

Jerold Lake

Jery became a Christian in the Spring of 1970 through Campus Crusade for Christ at Western Michigan University, where he graduated in 1975 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Education, majoring in Communication Arts and Science and minoring in English and Physical Education. He attended Central Bible College in 1981 and 1982, focusing on New Testament studies. He has been regularly preaching and teaching Bible studies ever since at various homes, churches and prison ministries. He travelled to Haiti on a mission trip in 1991, where the group was confronted by an angry Voodoo Witch Doctor who tried to stop their outdoor service by casting a spell for bad weather. And indeed, it did start to rain. However, the assembly began to pray, and the sky soon cleared up! The Witch Doctor was amazed! It would have been outstanding if the Witch Doctor had been saved at that point, but he wasn’t. However he did stay for the service and agreed to talk to one of the local pastors later, to learn more. Jery has been studying the scriptures on an almost daily basis for more than 40 years, focusing on the teachings and commands of Jesus. Teaching the New Covenant is his calling and passion.
