Carolyn Sweers has had a life-long interest in religion, beginning in childhood with mystic experiences of the wonder of life on earth. She has pursued this interest in a variety of ways including participating in the preparatory seasons for Christmas and Easter: Advent and Lent. It was during Advent one year, that she became fascinated with the human characters in the Christmas story and wrote what became the main text of this book. The final section, "Christmas: The Mornings After" provides brief commentary on some of the provocative teachings of Jesus. They provides a kind of script for humans now.
