About the Author

Jane Scoggins Bauld

Jane Scoggins Bauld is a native Texan, and writes about many aspects of Texas, including culture, nature, history, humor, and child advocacy for social and spiritual development. She was invited for a Book signing at the United Nations for her publication, Rights for Children. She began her thirty-year teaching profession as the owner and teacher of The Little Red Schoolhouse in Burnet, Texas. After moving to Austin, she helped establish four prominent Pre-Schools, presented classes on elements of child learning, and was awarded Teacher of the Year by the Austin Association for the Education of Young Children. Jane lives in Austin with her husband, still caring for children—her youngest grandchildren, Annie and Braden Bauld.
