Steve Petker and his wife live in North Carolina. Steve is the father of three and grandfather of five. He is also the proud owner of three rescue dogs. Steve wrote The Recipient while on disability as a speech pathologist in the school system, after suffering vision loss due to diabetes. Writing gave him the hope and determination to remain productive, and he feels that his debut novel was inspired by God.
