Book Details

The Endless String, a book of illustrated poetry, is a humorous, imaginative, and sometimes thought provoking look at life. Filled with imagery and a voice that speaks to both children and adults, it takes a peek at some strange scenarios, from a nose that whistles to a kangaroo that lands in the stew. Many of its rhythmic rhymes encourage adults to remember what the world looks like from a pint-sized point of view. We invite you to enjoy The Endless String, a treat for both reader and listener!
Tom and Tess Hannah

Have you ever struggled with wild wooly hair?
or run into a bear that was awfully bare?
or battled with bugs that went "bite" in the night?
or been too inspired by your appetite?

Have you ever pulled the endless string?
or met up with clothes that really cling?
or blown a bubble that you couldn't escape?
or found a circle that was the wrong shape?

If not, then join us, come along for the ride,
where problems and humor so often collide.
We might make you smile or may make you laugh,
or maybe you'd help us find half a giraffe...

Book Excerpt

THE LAST CRUSADER

I've walked across burning sands

while searching for the sea,

and spent my time in dungeons dark

while yearning to be free.

I've sailed through raging tempests

with only stars to guide me,

so why can't I just cross the street

without my mom beside me?

About the Author

Tom and Tess Hannah

Tom and Tess Hannah live in the Midwest and always enjoyed reading stories and poems to their four children. Tess, a language arts teacher for nearly 20 years, lists gardening, reading, and working on home improvement projects at the top of her "favorite things to do" list. Tom, who is in sales, enjoys writing funny poetry, reading about everything, thinking of inventions the world may never see, and making his family laugh with his homemade jokes.
