There is nothing like being able to express yourself in a way that you feel what’s really inside, good or bad or sometimes ugly. It is a food to the soul.

What is a poet? Who is poet? Anybody that sees life differently than other people and is somewhat capable of finding a positive and constructive outcome of one’s writings discovering partners on the readers that give us the privilege to be with us along the way.

“And what are words for In the mind of the poet?”

The question subsists. My poetry is a mirror of my soul, past, present and future. It has always been and it will always be.

About the Author

Roger De Mendonca Mendes

Roger de Mendonça Mendes was born in Lisbon, Portugal in 1950. Following the historic routes of his family for more than 400 years, Roger Mendes discovered his true Jewish ancestry and converted back to Judaism in 1998. In 2001 he was knighted into the Order of Saint Michael of the Wing by HRH Dom Duarte Pio, for services rendered to HRH House. He lives in Lakewood Ranch, Florida with the love of his life.
