Jaime G. Fernandez was born in Nava, Coahuila Mexico and grew up in San Antonio, Texas. He graduated from Memphis State University (University of Memphis) with a degree in microbiology and anthropology. His first book, The Legend of White Horse, was written in honor of his maternal grandmother, a Coahuilan Indian, and pays tribute to the great Native American people. His second book, Overcoming the Enemy Within, is a continuance of his self-imposed spiritual obligation to help humanity recognize their fallacies and for awakening our collapsing society to the self-realization possible with Higher Consciousness.

In The Call to Greatness, witness Xelan’s transformation into a Warrior of God and a steward of justice for all people. His calling? To increase world harmony and liberate his people from the darkness that oppressed them and the transgressors who subjugated most of his land. Xelan helps his simple sharecroppers break free of their accepted limitations and see themselves as noble men. With Xelan’s guidance, they will rise to greater endeavors and become Warriors of Light. Xelan’s quest for greatness continues as he captures his enemy and converts them to a higher cause—living in harmony with the Universal Laws, respecting the Commandments, and practicing the Golden Rule in all their interactions. This is a skillfully developed and illustrated story that will not only entertain but enlighten, inspire, and motivate its readers, showing us that we all have the capacity for greatness when we embrace the basic spiritual aspects of life.
