Book Details

Razzor is the fictional story of two men: Razzor Sharpe (the scholar) and Max Dardo (the terrorist). The narrative stems from the pen of Rose Sharpe, Razzor’s mother, who is married to Blade Sharpe, who comes home from a military stint in Nam, & who can’t get enough out of Rose. Their first born out of eight children is Razzor, who displays extraordinary talent in playing improvisational acting with a nearby boy, resulting in some destruction. Razzor is a very special gifted child especially in math. Because Blade and Rose are dirt poor, Blade tries raising pigs and selling shoes. But Blade wants a larger house, more land to grow crops to feed his large family. Bills become more than Rose can handle, so she seeks a neighbor’s help. The neighbor runs a successful call girl business and hires Rose who gets highly paid by many johns. Her money accumulates to a huge amount, only to be discovered by Blade. A battle of words awakens Razzor who witnesses Rose killing Blade. A jury and judge pardon Rose as an accident, but that doesn’t stop Rose who loves her work. Razzor meets Dardo at Princeton and Borodin, (a Russian spy). Razzor helps design and build a secret new sub for the US Navy. Russian secret agents also work on the same sub with Razzor. The bad Russians want to steal the sub’s plans. They start by kidnapping Razzor and imprison him on Snake Island. Dardo is assigned to rescue Razzor, and does so with no thanks from the USN. All the praise and awards are given to Razzor which results in Dardo wanting to kill Razzor. A fire fight occurs with Dardo killing many cops & Navy brass but not Razzor. The good Russians want to learn if one of their own is Razzor’s father. It turns out a good Russian General is guilty, and sentenced to die by his own firing squad. But the General goes free. A lot of intrigue, assassinations, love affairs, & adventures take place. The book ends with Dardo kidnapping Razzor’s wife, with Razzor now in pursuit to kill Dardo and rescue his wife.
