Poetry has for millennia been the language of the soul as it experiences the journey to be human; a window through which we peer into the shadowy hidden underbelly of the emotional realms of life. It speaks those things we dare not say in the cognitive language of the day, lest the heart be unveiled and exposed.
The pieces herein span some three decades of the author's journey with life. Some are short Zen-like encounters, while others offer more vision and tug at the search for truth. All offer a glimpse into the multifaceted web of youthful passion, love lost and found, and the compassion gleaned from having shared with others their journey of life, death, and possibility.
Poetry unlocks the doors to those places hidden in the shadows, and freedom comes by putting words to that which cannot be spoken.
