Author John C. Zappia has traveled extensively throughout the world and USA. Along with wife Nancy he served with Global Volunteers in teaching conversational English in Ostuni, Italy and Xian, China. He wrote two books about experiences in Italy and China—“Teaching In Italy-Living a Dream” and “Teaching and Touring in China.” John published four books: “The Greatest Gift From Sicily—The Life and Times of Donna Brigita”, “Teaching and Touring in China”, “Recipe for a Happy Life—Short Stories to Make You Laugh, Cry or Think” and Optimia. He was born and grew up in Pittsburgh, Pa. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps for three years. He graduated from University of Pittsburgh with a BS in Business Administration and University of Wisconsin, Madison, Graduate School of Banking. Retired from PNC Bank as Vice President of Operations Services.
