In sustaining the retention rates and improving the graduation rates in higher education in this country, the basis of this study was to look at implementing a formalized faculty-student mentoring program, which will contribute to the institution’s student success rates and engagement, by building on faculty interaction during college enrollment.

Dr. Theola M. Blakley-Moore

Dr. Blakley-Moore is a mother of six who has always felt that supporting others in their endeavors will motivate them to succeed and to not give up. Through the lens of her children, her research and own aspirations, Dr. Blakley-Moore speaks from a compassionate heart within, in helping students and adult-learners to be motivated, engaged in their learning, take on challenges one by one, succeed in all that they do no matter what it takes, and to always be encouraged.
