Yara the Queen of the jungle, tells the true story of the life of a beautiful Indian princess by the green color of her eyes and white skin, was born as a curse to some and a blessing to others in the mountains of Venezuela Yaracuy. She was the only hope of her tribe, who with his father, the great Cacique Yaracuy, commanded more than 500 indigenous people to free her people from the oppression of the Spanish conqueror, who massacred their way to every living with the only purpose of getting El Dorado. The secret of the existence of the great city of gold was buried with the death of the great Cacique Manaure. Yara in the actuality is a legend known around the world like Maria Lionza, the queen of the mountain Sorte in Yaracuy State. The famous singer, actor and politician Ruben Blades composed a song for her.

The Author, Marlene Rivero Romero, was born in La Victoria-Venezuela in 1967. She studied Computer Engineering at the National University Open. She was president of the Bolivarian Society in the High School. She represented her school in the commemorative acts of Bicentenary of the birth of Simon Bolivar in the year 1983, with the participation of the Bolivarian Countries and visited the King of Spain Juan Carlos I. She gave talks at the secondary about the life and work of Simon Bolivar The Liberator of the Americas. She started writing since childhood,learned from the hand of her cousin, filmmaker and colleague, writer of the book: The Conjunction of the Mirror, Mr. Oscar A. Sanchez Romero. She wrote her first book Vacaciones en Bonilla, which was publisher in the year 2008 and the version in English Vacations in Bonilla in the year 2009. Currently poet, songwriter and author, Marlene lives with her family outside their home country. Seeking the truth of the legend of the famous Queen Maria Lionza. This is how the author presents to the world the true story of Yara the Queen of Sorte.

Marlene Rivero Romero, nacio en La Victoria-Venezuela en 1967. Estudio Ingenieria de Sistemas en la Universidad Nacional Abierta. Fue presidente de la Sociedad Bolivariana en la segundaria. Represento a su escuela en los actos conmemorativos del Bicentenario del natalicio del Libertador Simon Bolivar en el ano 1983, en el cual participaron los paises Bolivarianos y la visita del Rey de Espana Juan Carlos I. Impartio charlas en la segundaria acerca de la vida y obra de Simon Bolivar El Libertador de las Americas. Comenzo a escribir desde pequena. Aprendio de la mano de su primo cineasta y colega el escritor del libro: La Conjuncion del Espejo, Sr. Oscar A.Sanchez Romero.Su primer libro Vacaciones en Bonilla fue publicado en el ano 2008 y la version en ingles en el 2009. Actualmente poeta, compositora y escritora, vive con su familia fuera de su pais natal. Busco la verdad de la leyenda de Maria Lionza.
