Thinking for Fun and Insight

This little book provides provocative sayings to ponder as well as a collection of insight clues gleaned from a variety of wisdom sources. Readers are encouraged to open the book at random or page through and see which saying or quote catches their attention and spend time with those. Considerable blank space is provided on most pages so readers can respond with their own words or drawings. The words of the book should be regarded as one side of a conversation in which a reader can enter and discover how much fun thinking can be. It is quite likely, that in the process, readers will be surprised by the insights that arise: wisdom that they did not know they had. The book is pocket size, intended to be readily available at leisure times: journeys by air, or train, or car or simply sitting at home or on a bench outside.

About the Author

Carolyn Sweers

Carolyn Sweers grew up on an Iowa farm and had the leisure to wonder and ponder. She first encountered philosophy in college and this began a career of study and teaching, She calls herself a “free-lance philosopher” and continues to think and write. It has long been her experience that if people are given the right questions, or the right quotes to ponder, they can discover important truths for themselves. That is what this book is for.
