Losing Summer
Come quickly and look,
Look at summer fading into fall.
Greens turning to shades of red,
Yellow and rust.

Squirrels scurrying to and fro,
Storing winter food,
Not wanting to be caught unaware when
Snow Flurries begin.

Look quickly or you'll miss it;
Miss the transition from summer to fall.
And, if you miss it,
One day you'll wonder,
