A Harrowing Journey of Love, War and Redemption

It’s 1996, and a noble man from the West has been sent deep into one of the world’s most troubled regions to help bring peace to its long-warring factions as part of a multinational crusade. But John never suspected he would face a raging battle within himself as well.

Now, in a new and dangerous Croatian city, John must quickly learn the ways of this strange land, fulfill his mission, and avoid being made a target by a ruthless undercurrent of treacherous deception. Then he meets a gorgeous young woman named Alisa—and things get even more complicated.

Caught between his mission, a troubled marriage back home, and his new and intoxicating relationship with Alisa, John struggles to balance his competing responsibilities and needs while staying true to the person he’s always been. And with peril lurking around every turn, one false move promises to undo everything he’s worked for.

Can John help accomplish what has eluded this land for centuries—peace—while redeeming himself, his honor, and faith?

A powerfully written, sensual and moving novel of love, war and the importance of belief, In the Land of Laku Noč will stay with you long after the book is closed.
