Nat Warren-White is an actor, director, teacher, executive coach & drama therapist who grew up sailing, fishing, and working in boatyards on the Coast of Maine. Nat had dreamed of transoceanic sailing from an early age, so at age 61, with the courageous support of his partner, Betsy, their son, Josh, and more than 50 friends, Nat fulfilled his dream with a west-around circumnavigation of the globe—sailing more than 30,000 miles in just under five years.

Whether you’re looking for a how-to guide to sailing around the world or a high-seas adventure with colorful characters and places, In Slocum’s Wake has you covered! Nat Warren-White shares his journey on the Bahati, which left South Freeport, Maine, on October 21, 2006 and returned almost five years later, safe and sound, to the Harraseeket River and home. In his highly entertaining chronicle of the trip, Nat shares hard-won lessons and practical tips about how to keep your boat and yourself functioning at least 80 percent of the time, along with memorable encounters with other sailors and the good folks who live in the places he and his family visited. In Slocum’s Wake will help you plan your own voyage and entertain you with salty narrative and nautical tales of triumph and woe.
