Where they came from...how they lived...and what they were all about

The Maughon and Norton family from Pike County, Alabama established their roots upon the rolling greens of Ireland. The patriarch fathers bloomed into the families of today which include: the Black’s, the Flowers’, the Shivers’, the Jackson’s, and the Galloway’s as well as several other notable cornerstones which toiled to make Pike County the thriving success for future generations.

This work reflects the love and respect for my ancestors and the life and times that they lived.  Their struggles were real and they knew the value of life and what life has to offer.  The families mentioned in this book set amazing examples of humanity and are perfect examples of real life.  This work is dedicated to my grandfather, Frazier Norton and his sweet beautiful mother, Lonnie Ophelia Maughon Norton (Maw).
