Jesus is in the garden of Gethsemane ready to pray about doing the Father’s will. Jesus knows he is going to die a violent death and be tortured by a ferocious scourging to the point of dying. Jesus knows he is going to get crucified on a cross and be nailed to the cross to the point where no one could recognize him. Jesus knows he would be stripped
naked and they would try to strip him of his dignity. Jesus starts to reflect about the decision that is laid before him that he would be the Lamb of God and the sacrifice for all humanity and to become sin with man’s sin. Jesus could see being separated from God. Jesus could see Satan mobilize his demon army to enforce their will on him. Jesus
could see that he will be going to hell and to be tortured spiritually. Jesus is experiencing a plethora of feelings more than any man has ever felt. Jesus is getting ready to pray not only for strength but also pray the prayer of commitment to doing the Father’s will. This prayer will be intense to the point of bleeding great drops of blood from his forehead.
Jesus is thinking all the way in the past about how it came to this. Jesus is going to embark in doing the Father’s will. Jesus is not turning back, but Jesus is remembering and reflecting and going back in his godly mind how it all got started. Why Satan and all of this evil? Jesus is thinking of Adam and who is Adam? Why he created him. Jesus is at the crossroads of eternity where he could redeem man or save himself from this hideous torture and punishment. Jesus is thinking about being
God Almighty in the bliss of heaven and enjoying his existence as God and starting all over. Jesus being in a human body is able to feel all of every possible feelings and terrible pain to redeem man. Jesus is going back to the beginning, to the beginning, to the beginning before there was a beginning on how it came to this. Jesus is flashing back in
his mind through His Story.
