If you love dogs, you will love Kenneth Messner’s book, God’s Dogs. This inspiring book is in answer to Kenneth’s wife’s question about dogs being in heaven. Kenneth developed this book as his explanation and understanding of dogs in heaven. He is a master storyteller, and this book will keep your attention. He has a unique manner of tying each chapter into the others. You will be enthralled with the way each dog in this book ties into the overall story. While it might look like several independent stories about just random dogs, Kenneth links all the stories together beautifully. While this book is an attempt to explain the age-old question of “will my pet be in heaven?” Kenneth avoids the general pat answers and does not go theological on the reader.

Kenneth Messner has written a masterpiece concerning dogs being in heaven in his book, God’s Dogs. I have heard preachers say that our pets will not be in heaven. I have heard preachers explain that we won’t care. Those explanations are woefully lacking. Kenneth’s wife heard in a sermon that her pet dog will not be in heaven, and she was deeply disturbed. God’s Dogs is Kenneth’s attempt to comfort his wife and give her assurance. This book is not a theological debate about animals and souls. This book is imaginative and comforting. It is based on Kenneth’s answer to animals living after death. The various stories are so beautifully written that you will be inspired and fall in love with each dog. Kenneth has hit a home run with this book.
