J.E. Johnson is a university emeritus professor who loves Goldens, which are in a special category when it comes to dogs. The character of Oliver is based on two great-grandsons, brothers Adyson and Elliot. Rebecca Ziegler spends her days in an elementary school classroom. The remainder of her time is spent with family, friends, and the guilty pleasures of food and travel.
