Mia, now 30, has started to feel the pressure of her internal time clock. Those around her seemed to watch every changing second. Being a young lady in the church presented its own challenges. Since, she didn’t believe in pre-marital sex, guys who weren’t in church, although they might find her attractive and ask her out for a while, were not really interested in a sexless relationship.
She began to feel like Thumbelina, who because of her unusually tiny size felt that she did not measure up to other girls.
