Book Excerpt

It was unimaginably beautiful. We counted over 30 pairs of Bald Eagles nesting in the trees around our camp at the edge of the ocean. Mountain peaks filled the horizon to the north, the bright blue ocean to the south. In the hills behind our camp we found rabbits the size of Labrador Retrievers, beaver, deer, and bear tracks that were so huge that Corey's Ruger 45 caliber pistol with an eight-inch barrel fit completely within the pad print. The nail prints of that bear track were at least six-inches long. We were camping in the territory of the infamous giant Kodiak bear!
