ER Nurse: The Warrior Within

Bruised, But Still Standing

by Jocelyn Cerrudo Sese

Book Details

ER Nursing is not for the squeamish and the faint-hearted.

ER Nurses are frontline warriors. They help the vulnerable and the weak face the uncertain and sometimes the inevitable, to provide dignity even during the most unfortunate times. My stories are snippets of thirty-one years of nursing in urban ERs, as well as the challenging Covid-19 experience. The stories are outrageous, funny and sad, tragic and inspirational. These are testimonies that any nurse can relate to. Walk a mile in my shoes, and understand my “why”. I may be bruised from the heartaches and the challenges, but I am still standing and still celebrating the small victories of having made a difference.
