Book Details

Dr. Kate Is On Her Way! Is a remarkable account of how a female doctor worked out of her car and medical bag to treat residents of Northern Wisconsin. As a doctor, she handled everything: delivering babies, giving vaccines, caring for burns, treating poisonings and even handling a gunshot wound. Dr. Kate even advocated for public health campaigns to improve drinking water and milk quality for children. Perhaps her greatest challenge and success was fundraising and overseeing the building of a local hospital. A hospital where she would meet, greet and care for her beloved community members.
