Francie walked up the sweeping grand staircase to investigate the second floor. Everything was so open and big. The staircase was wide with marble steps and a deep mahogany banister that gleamed from being waxed and polished. As Francie was admiring the marble steps, she saw something out of the corner of her eye. Something buzzed her like a bee. Francie quickly turned to see the most amusing little faerie. She was tiny and wore a violet pixie gown with silver sparkles all around her like stars. The faerie giggled as she flew around Francie, trying not to scare her. She stopped right in front of the young girl's face, leaving silver dust everywhere she flew and said, Greetings. We've been expecting you for some time."
