Jane Damphousse is a retired elementary school teacher and she is living on Cape Cod, Massachusetts. She enjoys many hobbies including gardening, sewing, bike riding, reading, walking the family dog and fishing with her husband. She has two grown sons with young families of their own. Writing children’s books and traveling to visit family have become her most recent pastimes.

Samantha Mayhew is a first-time illustrator from Spring, Texas. She currently attends Oak Ridge High School where she is an advanced placement student in drawing, painting, and Chinese language. Samantha is also a member of the National Art Society. Her grandparents were both artists and Samantha’s talent has been apparent since a very young age. She enjoys all styles of art and has received numerous awards for her work. After graduation, she plans on continuing her education in college to pursue a career in art.
