Change – The world we live in is constantly changing, and we must change along with it. Without change, there is no growth. With the inability to change, growth becomes stagnated, and at a standstill. However, one still ages physically. Every change brings about a rebirth. Time stops for no one, use yours wisely. The culture of hip hop, now over 30 plus years, has endured many interesting challenges. This relatively new culture is a spillover from the civil rights movement, of the ’60s. A group of children born within five years before, and after 1970 were given a special gift. They were given the gift or ability to recite poetry, over a beat played on a turntable. This gift transformed into an art form, which later gave birth to a new genre of music. This new genre became a new sensation for the world to embrace. The technique mirrored an art form a decade before, except instead of the turntables, it was the drum and the open mic. Nine Principles of Drumming explores this phenomenon.
