Book Excerpt

Perhaps more than any other quality, love can make you unstoppable. Love motivates, heals, and ultimately becomes the measure of your maturity as a human being. When you can love in the face of hatred, you have ascended beyond the ordinary. But loving in the face of hatred doesn’t necessarily mean that you have to hang around for the hate.

Love is a measure of your maturity because ultimately it’s a choice. You choose to love or you choose not to. Your choice to love in the face of fatigue, stress, hostility or whatever difficulty arises reflects upon you and your character, not the person being loved. To be unstoppable in love, you have to be able to rise above circumstances that aren’t always pretty. Some of us are up to it, some of us aren’t. But don’t kid yourself, love is a choice.
