Long: Randy Schreifels is a retired writer and lifelong resident of St. Cloud, Minnesota. Now a senior citizen, Randy spends his time reflecting on and sharing the many travel experiences he’s gathered over the years—especially those involving his love of trains and train stations. A self-described observer of the everyday details that make places special, he has authored several books focused on personal travel stories. His latest work, There Is a Train Depot!, showcases a collection of photographs and reflections on train depots across the United States and Canada, blending visual storytelling with quiet nostalgia. Randy’s work speaks to those who appreciate local history, scenic travel, and the enduring charm of railroads.
