The Moose is Loose

Big Moose lives on a wall of an old inn in Pottersville. Late in the night he gets down from the wall with his plaque, and turns into a real moose. He walks out the door and has many adventures. But he always manages to get "back on the wall in Pottersville" before the inn keeper catches him!

 

About the Author

Yvonne Foster Southerland

Author Bio: Yvonne Southerland is an art educator, retired from the New York City Department of Education. She has edited a tour guide Florence and its Hills and authored a family history entitled Legacy, Seven Generations of a Family. She has spent the last 36 summers in the Adirondacks, visiting many of Big Moose's favorite haunts. Concept Creator: Alexis Southerland Anekwe is a special needs teacher with the New York City Department of Education and a minister. Like her mother, she has spent the last 36 summers in the Adironacks tracking down Big Moose. Illustrator: Jeff Vernon, winner of the AEGIS award for design and marketing, is an illustrator and designer who has illustrated over 18 children's books, including many of the "What Is?" books. He lives in South Pasadena,CA and when not painting, enjoys hiking.
