Book Details

“Over the course of my life, I have moved across the state of Florida five times. I am currently running from my true feelings because they are lost. Looking at them requires me to be in a quiet place of forgiveness and to set my attention on what is going on inside of me. I feel as though I am unable to do that because I am emotionally distracted. I have lapsed into an unhealthy space. The light, my light, is dim. I am struggling to see through the dark thoughts of hopelessness.”

Based on the true story of Rasheedah Sharif’s life, Somewhere in a Rainbow eloquently takes its readers on a journey filled with love, pain, hopelessness, and healing. We are emerged into the life of Rose, as she recounts her life to the ears of her therapist for the very first time. We as readers are holding her hand every step of the way as Rose brings up her painful past in the hopes of healing and breaking the vicious cycle of abuse and self-destruction.
