In her field, Dr. Augusta Ware-DeNeal has sampled most of the tasks that keep a university running through her different post-secondary jobs. For many years, she held what some have called the best academic job in the world - “a TRIO grant writer/leadership” Division of Student Services academic position within two different post-secondary institutions in her hometown or work field. This book shares some of that reality in her short story narratives about her life experiences dear to her heart. All of which feed into her personal passion of “uplifting” her race. How to persist and survive as a female minority has been her profession.
