About the Author

Adrian P. Matherne

Adrian P. Matherne was born and raised in the community of Bourg, Louisiana and served as its Postmaster from 1993 until he retired in 2002; with thirty-seven years of postal service. He collected pictures and information for thirty-seven years and has compiled it into this book to serve as a history of the Bourg community. He currently lives in Bourg with his wife Cheryl and has a son living in Virginia.
