I learned the law from my kitchen table in the midst of watching my once promising career fall victim to corporate mismanagement and bankruptcy. I studied for and passed the Baby Bar on my first attempt, all while starting a new business from scratch so that I could pay my mortgage. I turned a Juris Doctor degree from the School of Hard Knocks into a first-time pass on the toughest Bar Examination in the country, after I had won my first trial while still a law student.
